  1. This is a great quality set. The ratchet handles and wrenches all have a nice heft to them. Pliers and wire cutters cut hard wires without nicking. Almost every size is present for what you may need to do.

I got this set as a Christmas present, and it has been the most useful present ever. I am a still-largely-transient college student, and so have not yet settled down and set up a permanent “work shop.” This set is much better than the cheap ones that I have typically seen my friends whip out when it’s time to assemble a futon or TV stand. I have used it to do countless tune-ups and oil changes on my car, as well as to replace the water and power steering pumps, do brake jobs, etc. The one complaint I have is with the magnetic bit-driver; the magnet fell out and the hexagonal collar broke. The magnet falling out seems to be pretty common; you can fix this with a dab of some silicone sealant used as glue (it bonds very well to metal).

I got a set for my little sister when she went off to college, and plan to do the same with my little brother. I consider it money well spent.

  2. This is an excellent tool set made in Taiwan. I bought it at Costco for 1/2 the price charged here.

  3. The kit works well for our application (large system electronics repair). We have only noticed one problem. When you pull the socket bits out of the driver, the magnet breaks off and can be lost. Out of the 9 kits that we purchased 4 of them have broken. Over all we are happy with the product, but have sent back the bit driver for exchange.

  4. This is a good tool set. It does not compare with SK, but is worth the 56 dollars I spent for it at Costco.

  5. Being a farmer, I need a good set of tools that is easy to carry with me everywhere I go and has what I need in it so I don’t have to drive back to the shop to get it. This set has it all! Of all the sets I have owned over the years, this Crescent set has been tha absolute best. I have used it to build a carousel, fix the tractors, adjust the doors in our market, you name it. All if the tools inside cover all the bases. I highly recommend it!!
