The switch lasted less than a month and was only used on three different occasions not even enough to wear the paint off the blade.
This saw is awesome! It seems to have more power than a regular 18V, but the best thing is the lithium ion battery with the “fuel gauge” right on the battery that lets you know how much charge is left in the battery. This M18 battery will go and go and go full blast until it loses all charge and then it stops. Probably wouldn’t hurt to have a spare battery if you’ll be using it for a big job and don’t want to have to wait the 30-50 minutes it might take to recharge the battery. I used it to cut a bunch of branches for about 2 hours and I still had juice left in the battery. This saw had more than enough power for what I use it for (small trees, branches, 2×4s with and without nails, wood fence demo, etc.), and the Milwaukee name gives me a feeling of quality. I highly recommend this saw not just because it’s a workhorse, it also looks cool!
