  1. The other reviewers are spot on, this thing is garbage. Bought it because I couldn’t find a 10-777 and needed one right away. The first day the stupid rubber “blade wipers” fell off (what are they supposed to do anyway? they don’t even actually touch the blade). The second day the blade started to completely pull out of the knife whenever making cuts in anything with a little resistance. Cut about three inches into a piece of drywall and the knife leaves the blade behind, still stuck in the drywall but not in the knife. I ended up throwing it in the dumpster, cursing under my breath.

  2. This knife is difficult to change blades with. The trick is to get the blade in far enough to lock into the right place. I had to play with it to get it in far enough so it would retract all the way and the blade would lock properly. Once you do that, it is decent knife. Stanley sure could have made this thing alot more user friendly.

  3. This thing is garbage at best. Very unsafe especially putting any kind of pressure on the blade, it will pull out. Directions are vague at best. The knob for pushing and retracting the blade fell off today. The persons who designed this thing should be fired and run out of town.

  4. Can changing blades get any more difficult or unsafe? I can’t imagine it could be worse but wait…the blade doesn’t retract all the way so you can unsuspectingly slice your finger. No thanks..back to the Lowes with you Fat Bastard.

  5. I bought one of these at Home Depot today. Piece of junk. The blade doesn’t retract all the way and the blade lock doesn’t work. Returning it and buying a different brand.
