  1. This tape rule is working out great. It is easy to unroll and wind back up. I just purchased this last month and so far have only used it to measure my son’s shot put and discus practice throws. The tape seems to be very strong as a couple of times the shot actually hit the tape driving it down into the turf with no damage noted. Excellent product!!!

  2. So far, so great! This tape has helped me measure various areas of the yard for landscaping purposes, documentation, etc. I’ve gotten the thing filthy with water and mud, and you can literally wind it up, wash it off, and hang it up.

The bright yellow color makes it easy to spot, and the markings are easy to see as well from a standing position. The hooks on the end of the tape make it a cinch to use with one person (so you don’t need someone else holding it). I love it, and the price is great!

  3. This is a good value dual increment tape. Inches on one side and tenths on the other. It is very nice to have both at our disposal as we mainly work in tenths/hundredths but on that rare occasion the inches come in handy. Most tapes with tenths are much more expensive than my purchase price of this tape. The winding action is pretty good, not as much gearing as some of the nicer tapes but at half the price or better I don’t have any issues with the wind up. The zero end has a 90 degree cleat that you can hook on a building corner. I’ve held it out to 60′ and it holds enough tension to do that without breaking the cleat. This fiberglass tape feels more like a vinyl tape to me as opposed to some of the nicer lufkin offerings that have a clear grippyness to them. This tape feels much more rubberized and potentially more susceptible to cuts/nicks. Again we’ll see but at half the price or better I’ll take my chances.

  4. I had looked at some other tapes from Stanley and all had 3:1 retraction… when I got this one I realized it doesn’t. Not the end of the world, but disappointing.
